Coningsby  -  The Rickard Cup

In 2005 Mrs Ruth Sharples, who was at that time Chairman of Coningsby Parish Council donated a trophy to be awarded annually to a person or organisation who, Coningsby Parish Council feel,  has contributed the most to the community of Coningsby.  The trophy, a silver cup,  was donated in memory of her father Mr Ralph Martin Rickard who served as a Parish Councillor.   The first recipient of the trophy was Mr Bernard Lewis.     The recipients for 2006  were Coningsby Helping Hands.  This year's winner of the Rickard Cup is Mrs Lorna Curtis for all her hard work organising and managing the Wednesday Luncheon Club for pensioners.
